This little gem right here saw the light of day just before the new year, just in time for THE YOUNG to take it on their east coast tour. Hailing from Austin, TX, these guys continue on from their debut “Voyagers of Legend” from earlier in 2010. Continue reading “The Young – Sweet 7″”

The Deeep – Muddy Tracks 12″
I don’t exactly like borrowing words, but sometimes it’s all too necessary. Uttered first from the folks at 100% Silk, “Muddy Tracks” is a “stripped down satisfying zombie trance-hop” from start to finish. You can’t really get more straight to the point than that statement with this record in mind. Continue reading “The Deeep – Muddy Tracks 12″”
Heavy Times – Dead
It’s a damn shame we weren’t aware of this record sooner, because in all seriousness, it probably would have been way high up on our top 25 list at the end of 2010. But anyhow, with this release, HEAVY TIMES continue to serve up their unpredictable take on punk music, but things are a little different this time around. Continue reading “Heavy Times – Dead”
BAnanas Symphony – Salty
Today we’ve got a digital 7″ from the Philadelphia based recording project of Yohsuke Araki under the name BANANAS SYMPHONY. This is the latest of his multiple two-to-three track digital singles, all of which you can download for free right now at his Bandcamp. Continue reading “BAnanas Symphony – Salty”
The Soft Moon – Parallels 7″
THE SOFT MOON is fronted by main-man Luis Vasquez, and this single comes from his debut release from the Captured Tracks label. The record was released about a month before the turn of the new year, and it received a great deal of praise. Continue reading “The Soft Moon – Parallels 7″”
No Joy – Ghost Blonde
Appropriately coming from the Mexican Summer label is the debut LP from NO JOY. These girls started with a 7″ from the same label, and this collection of songs is a great continuation from where they left off. Continue reading “No Joy – Ghost Blonde”
Papercuts – Do What You Will 7″
Coming out at the very beginning of March is the brand new full length effort from San Francisco’s PAPERCUTS. The album is titled “Fading Parade”, and you’ll find the A-side of this single on the official tracklist. Continue reading “Papercuts – Do What You Will 7″”
Ital – Ital’s Theme 12″
For those of you who are fans of Mi Ami, you’ll be happy to know that ITAL is the moniker of Daniel Martin-McCormick. There’s just one problem – the stuff included on this 12″ is so far from Mi Ami you’d probably never even believe it. Continue reading “Ital – Ital’s Theme 12″”
Mike Adams at His Honest Weight – Oscillate Wisely
With a name like MIKE ADAMS AT HIS HONEST WEIGHT, it might make you think twice before listening. We’re here to tell you that that would be an awful decision, because you definitely don’t want to miss out on this one. Continue reading “Mike Adams at His Honest Weight – Oscillate Wisely”
Chain and the Gang – Cry, Cry, Cry (Over You) 7″
Coming out this February is the brand new, second full length album from CHAIN AND THE GANG. This 7″ sort of acts as a teaser for the album, because none of the songs come from the new tracklist. Instead, this is almost like an attempt to get you pumped up for the new record. Continue reading “Chain and the Gang – Cry, Cry, Cry (Over You) 7″”
