For their first release since their sophomore LP on Hozac Records, THE LIMIÑANAS are back again with a new 7″ La fille de la ligne on Trouble in Mind Records. It’s home to two new songs which will hopefully lead to something bigger later this year.
Trouble in Mind said it best, because by now the Limiñanas should need no introduction. With the kind of consistency we’ve already heard from this band, their new 7″ shouldn’t come as a surprise – this has become their standard. No other band is delivering the same type of chilling ye-ye psych, bringing to mind the certain truth that nobody could do it better than the Limiñanas. These two songs more or less pick up right where they left off and set us up with hope for their future, whatever that may include. “La fille de la ligne” starts with the drone of a synthesizer, quickly revealing their trademarked “dead-cool” sound comprised by the twang of guitars and jangly percussion. B-side “Mobylette” keeps the hypnotizing vibes afloat with mesmerizing synths and slinky bass lines, revealing bursts of hazy, lysergic colors with some wigged-out guitar work in the middle.
Hear the single below in its entirety right now.
I should’ve posted this sooner because the 7″ has sold out, but fear not, it looks like a repress is on the way! The 7″ is available again from Trouble in Mind, go get it!
