Nicolas Jaar – Remixes Volume 1 (Pépé Bradock & Dave Aju)

Just released by the Circus Company in France is a small batch of remixes from NICOLAS JAAR on 12″ vinyl, focusing on his excellent album “Space is Only Noise” from earlier this year.

For anybody not familiar with this type of genre, first coming across Nicolas Jaar might lead to some serious game changing consequences (and I mean that in the best way possible). Being somebody who was never interested in something labeled as “deep house”, months later after “Space is Only Noise” dropped I never thought I’d still be listening to it now. But here I am, perpetually rocking out to “Keep Me There” whenever I find myself in a car for an extended period of time. But how can you blame me?

Now (to begin and refresh the addiction all over again) comes three remixed tracks from the likes of Pépé Bradock and Dave Aju – two talented masterminds who are more than trustworthy when it comes time to remix. Within their three tracks they cover two different songs from “Space is Only Noise”, giving each their own brand new outlook, still leaving them beyond ready for the dance floor while keeping original ideas respectfully in place – something that never sounds like an easy task, but no matter they make it work, and flawlessly I should add. Now get your own taste right here.
