A trio based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, WHAT TYRANTS are set to release their debut 7″ Hanging Out in Havana at their record release show at 7th Street Entry on August 26th in Minneapolis.
Their new 7″ comes with two piping hot tracks, falling somewhere in the middle of the garage-punk/ post-punk vein. Citing angular guitar hooks and gut-pounding rhythms to support, this frantic sound comes accompanied by echoed shouting and an underlying propulsive energy that will drive you ‘nanners. Guitars flourish with an aggressive, melodic jangle on B-side “Far Out,” coming with surf-flavored twangs and howling vocals.
