Secret Mission Records in Pittsburgh, PA just dropped a new two-song 7″ from MODERN PETS. The band hails from Berlin, Germany and this is their first release of 2014.
Modern Pets have been steadily releasing new material since 2010, with B.I.Y.S. becoming at least their eighth 7″ to date. Their other records come from familiar labels including P. Trash, Rockstar and Dead Beat Records, so you get an idea of where they’re coming from. Their latest 7″ starts with an uplifting punk charge, fueled by bright, melodic guitars with a shredded complexion. “B.I.Y.S.” is a rowdy introduction, driven by fist-in-air chanting for tough and anthemic beginning. “Sweet Frustration” is the scrappy B-side, coming with an added dose of head-splitting guitar fury.
