Polish Club – Singles

polish club singles 2015

Formed late last year in Syndey, let us welcome POLISH CLUB to the United States. With only three songs to their name and two members to the band, Polish Club has perked the ears of the local listeners and will inevitably attract more with their looming debut album in the works.

Polish Club’s simple setup consists of a guitar, microphone and drum kit manned by the duo of Pajak and Novak. They play stripped down garage rock with a frantic punk ferocity that is vitalized by soulful bellows. “Show You Love” is loose, jangly garage rock at it’s finest. Comprised of a fuzzy, warm guitar and crisp percussion that bursts into a frenetic fit that doesn’t quit for a minute and half.

“Did Somebody Tell Me” is the duo’s most recent release. The song show’s control in comparison to the ceaseless ruckus of “Show You Love”. Evidenced in the intro, the intensity of the track is built by layering guitar tracks on a steady beat that is reminiscent of some avant-punk. The track progresses into stomping-good rock n’ roll that is propelled by the blues.

“Able” is the standout amongst the singles, indebted partially to its drastically slower tempo in comparison to the other two tracks. Regardless, the song possesses an innate profound sentiment. This emotional ballad is bawled over the steady hammering of three chords and the crashing of cymbals that mirrors the vocalist’s passion.
