Sydney, Australia band BLOODS dropped their first vinyl release titled Goodnight back in May. It’s a short and poppy two-track offering, giving us just one more reason to love everything that’s happening down under.
We keep hearing from bands from that part of the world and they’re all as awesome as the last. The same goes for Bloods, who just recently dropped their first 7″. It’s a short offering just barely lasting over five minutes, brimming with two ecstatic tracks of innocent garage-pop that will fill you with joy. Lyrics about partying, getting drunk and boyfriends lead the way in “Goodnight,” filled out with catchy hand claps and a dirty sounding guitar solo for good measure. B-side “All the Things You Say Are Wrong” keeps the good vibes flowing with an upbeat and stomping garage punk punch. The memorable chorus features guitars with a metallic twang and soaring vocals over top, eventually employing a gritty, sandpaper guitar solo to wrap up the track. Now listen to both tracks below with all of their poppy innocence.
