Pampers – Right Tonight 7″ EP

pampers right tonight 7 in the red recordings 2014

Brooklyn’s own PAMPERS dropped a monster LP in 2013. They quietly followed it up with a 7″ titled Right Tonight on In The Red at the very end of 2014.

For Pampers, Right Tonight is their third 7″ after they released two others on their own Jack Shack Records imprint in 2011 and 2012. Right Tonight brings us four new tracks and continues their sonic blend of thuggish, full throttle splatter punk. There’s a thick coating of palpable gunk clogging the pipes, creating a lethal layer of poisonous, congealed slime over bass and guitar that seamlessly blends them together. They stop at nothing in their relentless attack, evidenced by the maddening “Suicide” where they disguise “da-da-da-do” chants with a filthy guitar crusting. “Seneca Road” is an EP highlight, starting off with a simmering slow-boil before some rowdy, fist-in-air chanting for one of their slowest tracks yet. They close the 7″ with the explosive “Bum Rush” and for those who loved their LP, this will bring you right back. Now hear for yourself with all four cuts below.
