Goodbye Boozy Records in Italy is slingin’ out another fresh set of wax. Up first is the third 7″ single Eat It Up from THE LIVING EYES based in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
Their lastest 7″ is a real smoker. The party opens with the positively rocking “Eat It Up.” They waste no time, starting things quickly with shredded garage guitars that sound sharp and concentrated. Bass lines rumble deep under the chords, followed by Billy Gardner’s cleanly echoed vocals. It’s all buried in just the right amount of static fuzz, driving right into a blazing solo decorated with bubbly hand claps that will have you hooked immediately. B-side “Mass Assumption” is just as catchy as the first, showing off the bands sensibility to form tight and refreshing outbursts of marauding guitar pop in just over two minutes. In other words, this slice of wax is not to be missed. Play this shit loud and watch your worries melt away.
