Blooper – Long Distance 7″

blooper long distance 7 manic pop 2013

Today we’re happy to be sharing the debut 7″ from up-and-coming Seattle pop crew BLOOPER. The 4-song 7″ titled Long Distance comes courtesy of Manic Pop! Records based in Rochester, Minnesota.

On their Long Distance 7″ Blooper come bearing a positively inviting sound for a strong debut. Songs are dense with sunny, up-beat guitars and a certain level of innocence, with opening track “You Won’t Miss Me” featuring the gritty twang of tightly woven and energetic guitar hooks. Don’t let that fool you though – this material isn’t all cute and pretty. They’re not afraid to lay down some heavier stuff, much like the electrifying guitar assault encountered in the latter half of “Shaky.” In a short two minute song it quickly comes and goes but it makes for a memorable knock-out punch to close the track, quickly suggesting these guys are capable of so much more. With that being said, Blooper is sure to have some more of these dazzling tricks up their sleeves. We’ll have to see where they take us next, just don’t forget to listen to these tracks below!
