The Dirty Nil – Little Metal Baby Fist 7″

THE DIRTY NIL are back once again with a new self-released 7″. Little Metal Baby Fist comes along with three new tracks, blinding us with their punk inflected rock and roll fury.

As always, this stuff comes with a warning label to “play loud,” and it should, because when it comes down to it, this is about as straightforward as punk-leaning rock and roll could be. This is evidenced quickly by the rollicking opener “Little Metal Baby Fist,” which immediately catapults us into the relentless action. Remembering their debut 7″, this behavior shouldn’t come as a surprise. “Hate Is a Stone” switches up the momentum for a softer sounding, slow-burning dirge, showing us a lighter side of the Dirty Nil before they begin to lay it on heavy and bust the song wide open. “Moonage Daydream” sets us up for another snarling punk beat-down, spearheaded by some mangled guitar squeals to intensify the vibe. A sharp-edged and dirty solo does some serious damage as the track wraps up, with some bloodthirsty screams and crushing drums to fill it out for good measure.

Check the whole 7″ below with all of its brutally lovable intensity. You can buy a 7″ (limited to 500) or ‘name yr price’ for the digital tracks on Bandcamp.
