Love Handles – Handled 7″

LOVE HANDLES are a pop duo from West Palm Beach, Florida. Both members are also from Florida band Cop City/ Chill Pillars, except here they stick more to the pop side of the fence.

While each of these two bands generally has a different type of sound, there are definitely still some similar qualities that both bands share. Most noticeably would probably be the druggy, strung out notions that ooze from these lysergic tracks. Cop City/ Chill Pillars generally stuck to a twisted and menacing psych-rock sort of sound, but Love Handles take on a perpetually wobbly form of lysergic pop that will leave you drooling in a daze. These wobbly vibes are easily detected in a track like “Feelin’ Like a Freak”, which is drenched and saturated with buzzing textures and that hazy psychedelic edge that excellently characterizes these songs. All that being said, you could pretty much say the same thing for all six of these wild tracks, whether it’s “Gold Chain” with its unexpected surf rock tendencies or “Meet Me in the Middle” with its ecstatic synth solos.

If you like what you hear, head on over to West Palm Beotch Recordings and grab the 7″ single while it’s still available. The 7″ is limited to 300 and comes on purple vinyl!
