From the latest batch of filth at Hozac Records comes another 7″ from Swedish electronic trio BLACK BUG, being their fifth single since 2008 and their first of the year.
You will find three songs included on their new 7″ EP, which together barely makes it past the five minute mark. Futuristic electro pop with all sorts of chilling sci-fi textures and dire cosmic sounds calls the shots, driven by drum machine percussion and blatantly odd, isolated vibes. Track two “Machine” is buzzing acid bath with chanted and echoed vocals, while “Shards of Glass” is spectral and masked by a cloudy, murky substance that burdens the song with its weight, yet it maintains an overall upbeat complexion. It doesn’t stop there either, because “Police Helicopter” is the sure highlight of this haunting single. This largely instrumental jammer is somehow thought-provoking with it’s threatening ray gun synth waves, in the end varying their stunning sound from track to track of this 7″. Act now and you can snatch one of the final remaining copies of the GOLD edition 7″ from the good folks at Hozac.
