Two new tracks from WOODS on their latest release from Sacred Bones, this 7″ comes hot off the heels of their most recent full length album “Sun and Shade”.
Sticking to their own unique formula of experimental psych-pop, “Find Them Empty” quickly introduces you to fluttering organs and an abrasive guitar racket that scratches a chalk board surface with it’s nails. It proceeds to make you cringe as it wrenches your soul with its rough around the edges squeal, rarely letting up and giving you the chance to reorient yourself. This gritty psych-pop nugget differs greatly from it’s B-side “Be There”, which is a haunting five minute tribal meeting of searing experimental psych. The endlessly foreboding vibes ooze out from all angles as they carefully sail across the intimidating murky waters, never becoming fully aware of the possible dangers that lurk below in the depths, but never going quite far enough to face them first hand. If you’re not careful you’ll be swept away without a trace by the unforgiving atmosphere.

Woods – I Was Gone 7″
Woods will never cease to make amazing music. They are amazing. This is the first summer in two years I didn’t get to see them perform at some point, but they are pretty stellar live. This 7″ is gold!
