The first release from the Afterlife Records imprint is this gem of a 7″ featuring two WHITE FENCE tracks – one of which you can find on this years “…Is Growing Faith”, while the B-side “The Pool” is previously unreleased.
“Harness” should be a familiar tune to some with it’s screeching guitar leads, backed by a rollicking rhythm that pushes on with determination for the full two minutes. Tim Presley’s strung out vocals complement the woozy vibe that comes through in both tracks, eventually revealing a thick and fuzzed-out solo for the final minute of “Harness”.
Flipping to the B-side “The Pool”, this displays an immediate difference in the two songs. This one takes a step back making for a much more relaxed and breezy tune, which couldn’t be any more perfect for lazily floating on a raft in said pool. The sharp guitar hooks and springy bass lines harmonize together for a perfect fit on this nearly folksy jam, resulting in a simply enjoyable five minute single that you can hear right below. Of course, you could also buy it from Insound too.
