If you remember the SHARP ENDS 7″ we covered a short bit ago, then it shouldn’t be surprising we’re back here with another. Coming from the Mammoth Cave label in 2009, this was one of three singles from Sharp Ends that year.
It didn’t occur to me until after the review of the Broadview Pressure Test 7″ that Sharp Ends were actually a defunct band. Definitely an unwanted discovery. But these guys left quite a remarkable dent in what I consider to be my brain in such a short period of time. The best part is it didn’t even stop at Broadview, because the rest of their catalog is just as jaw-dropping and focused as that single, which is a quality most bands lose after they’ve gotten one foot in the door because they’ve achieved their goal and then start lose their concentration. Clearly though, this was not the case with Sharp Ends. The absolutely dire guitar tones and spastic drumming of “Crack Trap” will go a long way to prove that while simultaneously slamming your ass to the ground. See the tracks below for a little bit of enlightenment. And being completely irrelevant to this post, we’re looking for contributors to the blog.
