Polly Pockets – Weird Floor Head Face

POLLY POCKETS uses her drum machine, an acoustic guitar, and just the right amount of weirdness to create quite peculiar, airy and delicate songs. She’s got plenty of free downloads on her Bandcamp page, and this is her latest batch to date.

I can’t say I know much about Polly Pockets, and her name is pretty much un-Googleable. The only result that comes back is that god damn Polly Pocket toy and then her Bandcamp page. Pockets hails from Cambridge in Massachusetts, but other than that I’m just as clueless as you. Any questions you have will probably be best answered by her music, which is characterized by her sunny, high pitched vocals and her gentle guitar playing. Don’t get confused by the police sirens in the background of “I Esimorp”, and you’ll notice that by the time the cover of Lazy Smoke’s “How Did You Die?” is finished, you’ll only want to hear it a second time.
