Titus Andronicus – New Video/ New Song
As some of you might already be aware, TITUS ANDRONICUS just unveiled a brand new music video at midnight last night. It’s for their song “No Future Part Three: Escape from No Future”, which comes from their monstrous 2010 album “The Monitor.” The video features a day-long trip through New Jersey, with the band playing in five different locations along the Jersey coast, ranging from Asbury Park to Jersey City and everything in between. You can view the video right below with all of it’s outstanding production. Word on the street is that the roof caved in during the last leg of the video, during the Jersey City segment. We find that hilarious, but the owners of that bar probably did not…
No Future Part Three: Escape from No Future
However! That is not all we have for you guys today. Titus Andronicus made their stop in Philadelphia last night on their spring tour, which happens to be winding down by the end of the weekend. During their sweat-lodge-like set at the First Unitarian Church, Titus and the gang graced our virgin ears with a brand new and unreleased track that has yet to be titled. At this point there’s not really anything else to find out about the song, but you’ve got a golden opportunity to view all five minutes of the madness right below. Just remember to tell your friends where you saw it first, then be sure to catch TA on their final two nights of the tour – April 29th in Hoboken, NJ and Brooklyn, NY on the 30th.
No Future Part Three: Escape from No Future –
And just in case you were wondering, this track here is “No Future Part Three: Escape from No Future” taken directly from the Monitor. That is all.

Australia’s own CIRCLE PIT are back with a brand new 7″ from Hardly Art and they’ve unexpectedly changed up their sound. Moving away from the scuzz-driven grit of their earlier releases, now they’re brewing up electronically based deep cuts. Continue reading “Circle Pit – Slave 7″”
Moon Women – Light Moves Slowly 7″
Philadelphia’s own MOON WOMEN have been quite active these days, most recently releasing this debut 7″ we have here today. Last we heard was a live EP recorded at WXPN studios here in Philly, so let’s see what they’ve got for us this time around. Continue reading “Moon Women – Light Moves Slowly 7″”
Song of the Day #12
At first SILVER SHAMPOO was an unfamiliar name. However, once you throw on their record and give it a couple spins, the stuff really starts to sink in. That seems to be the case with all the countless bands who dwell in the Denton, TX area, which is exactly where these striped-down pop-punkers hail from. You probably didn’t need us to tell you that, but it should all become clear after hearing this cut from the album below, called “On Wheels.” It’s overflowing with wonky bass lines, jagged guitars and an innocent adolescent spirit bursting with energy, and acts as a nice snapshot of what the rest of the album holds.

Woodsman – Insects 7″
Here’s one we should have covered months ago, but due to issues at the pressing plant Fire Talk had to postpone it’s release. It’s a 7″ single from WOODSMAN, featuring the opener from their 2011 album “Rare Forms,” and a previously unreleased B-side. Continue reading “Woodsman – Insects 7″”
Föllakzoid – Föllakzoid EP
You’ve got to admit, we’ve been loving this stuff from Chile as of late. Here’s another EP from FÖLLAKZOID, who share some members from other Chilean bands we’ve recently covered, from the Sacred Bones camp. Continue reading “Föllakzoid – Föllakzoid EP”
The Paperhead – The Paperhead
THE PAPERHEAD just released their debut album from the Trouble in Mind label, capturing a seemingly lost psychedelic sound of the 60’s and 70’s. They take on a scarily authentic approach, which only becomes more perplexing after learning it’s done by three eighteen year old dudes from Nashville. Continue reading “The Paperhead – The Paperhead”
Various Artists – Todo Muere Volume 1
This Sacred Bones Records compilation marks the second Record Store Day exclusive we’re covering. It features plenty of bands (Moon Duo, Zola Jesus, Trust, Cult of Youth) who have recently graced our headlines, so in terms of compilations it doesn’t get much better than this. Ming Donkey One Man Band – Georgia Line 7″
MING DONKEY ONE MAN BAND is pretty much just how it sounds – a one man band from Mississippi. Other than that, there’s really not much other information out there to be found. Hopefully we can attempt to change that with this post. Continue reading “Ming Donkey One Man Band – Georgia Line 7″”
